Candy AI Review: Customization, Image Credits and Limits
Custom characters, media tools and a token budget to understand before paying.
Candy AI combines custom characters with chat, images and video. Its low entry price needs a token budget; paid output quality remains untested.

Candy AI is a plausible fit for adults who want a custom character, chat and visual tools in one subscription. The catch is that Premium access and unlimited generation are not the same purchase. Its current offer includes unlimited text messages and 100 monthly tokens, with tokens used for extended features.
The annual offer looks inexpensive at $3.99 per month, but you pay $47.88 upfront. Before judging that price, work out whether you want occasional images or a large number of generations. The second habit can turn a cheap subscription into a more expensive pastime.
Source-based review. We checked Candy's public pages, subscription offer, Terms of Service and Privacy Notice on September 10, 2026. We did not purchase Premium, generate media or benchmark conversations. This review evaluates the documented features and commercial terms. Paid-use performance remains unscored.
Character customization: appearance is only the starting point
Candy gives you two routes: pick an existing character or create your own. Its public navigation separates Discover, Chat, Collection, Generate Image, Create Character and My AI. The creator's opening screen offers realistic and anime styles. You can inspect that opening screen without completing a paid creation.
Pre-made characters versus your own character
A pre-made character is the simpler place to find out whether you enjoy the product's general chat format. Custom creation makes more sense when you already have a particular appearance or relationship premise in mind. Otherwise, it is easy to spend your first session choosing a hairstyle without learning whether the conversation suits you.
Candy's official feature descriptions list appearance choices such as ethnicity, eyes, hair and body type, alongside voice and personality. Its Privacy Notice also identifies occupation and relationship type among the character attributes users can provide. These are documented configuration options, not measurements of how reliably every setting influences a generated response.
What customization does not guarantee
A personality label is an instruction to the model, not a guarantee of consistent behavior. A chosen appearance likewise does not establish that the same face will survive every camera angle, outfit change or video request. Candy's terms explicitly warn that generated content may not perfectly match preferences.
We would separate the initial setup from the result. Pick an adult character and a simple premise, then see whether the replies follow the tone you asked for. Only after that would we put more time or money into refining the visuals. This avoids treating an attractive setup screen as proof of a finished companion.
Roleplay control: what “uncensored” leaves out
Candy markets open-ended roleplay and fictional companionship. You can guide a conversation through your prompts, but the platform still has content rules and moderation. The Terms of Service say moderation can alter a request before generating the output, and flagged content may be reviewed by authorized people.
That makes “no filters” an inaccurate description. This is an adults-only service for fictional interactions subject to platform rules, not a promise to fulfill every request. Check those rules against the kind of roleplay you want before paying, rather than assuming the marketing label settles it.
A useful first conversation
Begin with a clear, non-explicit scenario and a short response format. For example, ask the character to meet you in a fictional café, keep replies under a paragraph, and leave your character's actions for you to decide. You can then judge whether it respects those boundaries without introducing several competing instructions.
Change one preference later and see whether the next replies adapt. Reopen the conversation in a later session to check continuity. These are suggested checks, not results from a test account. We cannot rate Candy's long-session memory, repetition or response speed from the pages we inspected.
If the free sample is too short to answer those questions, that is a real purchase limitation. Candy's current terms say a free user may generally send a maximum of five messages. Do not confuse a quick introduction with enough access to evaluate long-term roleplay.
Images, video and voice: Premium access is not an unlimited allowance
Candy currently advertises image generation, video generation and voice interaction. Its subscription page explicitly lists video among Premium benefits, so the older claim that Candy has no video feature should not guide a buying decision now.
Generated content and pre-made media are different
The terms distinguish on-demand generation from pre-made images and videos offered inside character profiles. They say pre-made media can use several artistic methods, including generative tools and modifications to licensed material. A profile's polished promotional picture therefore does not prove the result of your own prompt.
If consistent appearance matters, judge the outputs you can actually request. Compare a neutral portrait, a different outfit and another camera angle before commissioning a larger set. Look at the face, hairstyle and recurring accessories, not just whether each individual image looks appealing. We have not completed that comparison on a paid account.
Budget for the iterations, not only the image you keep
A subscription that enables a tool does not tell you how many satisfactory results you can produce with its allowance. Adjusting a prompt or repeating a generation can increase the number of paid actions behind a single image you keep. Check the displayed token charge before confirming each action.
We verified the 100-token monthly allowance on the subscription page, but could not verify a complete current per-action token tariff from accessible official pages. Candy's linked help center returned an access challenge. We therefore do not claim that 100 tokens buys a specific number of images, video clips or voice minutes.
The same limit applies to quality claims: we cannot endorse “perfectly consistent faces,” rank its video movement or promise realistic voice timing without producing and inspecting the outputs. Candy's documented breadth is a reason to investigate the tool, not a substitute for that test.
Candy AI pricing: read the charge, not just the monthly equivalent
The public USD offer showed a one-month plan at $13.99, three months for $26.97, and twelve months for $47.88. The longer plans are advertised as $8.99 and $3.99 per month respectively, but those are equivalents rather than monthly charges. Local taxes may apply, and your checkout controls the final offer.
All three advertised durations list unlimited text messages and 100 tokens per month among Premium benefits. Buying twelve months does not mean the page promises the whole year's tokens upfront. The included allowance remains monthly.
The yearly discount is useful only if you keep using it
The annual option reduces the subscription cost, but it also puts more money at risk before you know whether the character, moderation and generation costs fit your habits. We would start with a monthly subscription if the free preview is insufficient and you decide the product is worth trying. Save annual billing for a service you already want to return to.
For a text-focused user, the advertised unlimited messaging is easy to understand. For a visual creator, keep two figures separate: the recurring subscription and additional token purchases. We cannot put a reliable dollar amount on the second figure without a verified token package and per-action rate.
What to confirm before the payment
- The total charged today, billing currency and any local tax.
- The renewal period and price shown in your checkout.
- The monthly token allowance and cost of the media actions you expect to use.
- Whether unused tokens remain usable after cancellation or expiry.
The offer page says subscriptions renew automatically for the same price and term. The terms also allow future price increases with advance communication. “Cancel any time” means you can stop the next renewal; it does not turn an annual purchase into twelve separate monthly commitments.
Cancellation, token expiry and refunds
Candy's terms direct users to Settings / Unsubscribe to cancel. Access continues until the current billing period ends, without a charge for the next period. We reviewed those instructions but did not test the cancellation flow in an authenticated account.
The remaining-token rule matters: section 10.2 says unused tokens expire and become unusable when the subscription ends. It also says they cannot carry into a later resubscription. Do not stockpile tokens on the assumption that you can take a break and use them whenever you return.
A refund is not the same thing as cancellation
For users outside the EU and UK, the published subscription-refund policy requires a request within 24 hours and says a request is denied if more than 20 tokens have been used. It limits refunds to card purchases and excludes certain user-side technical issues. Token-package refunds have separate conditions, including that the tokens have not been used.
The terms contain a separate initial-purchase withdrawal section for EU and UK users, including a 14-day period and an allowance for a prorated deduction for services consumed. Your location and purchase circumstances matter. Read the relevant section rather than treating a general “money-back” statement as a promise.
Those are the company's published conditions, not legal advice or a guarantee that any particular refund request will succeed. If refund eligibility matters to your decision, check the applicable policy before spending tokens.
Privacy: billing discretion is not chat confidentiality
The pricing page says the bank-statement descriptor is “EverAI.” That is useful to know, but a neutral merchant name does not make the transaction anonymous to the merchant, payment provider or bank. We did not make a payment to confirm a statement entry.
There is also a distinction between Candy's marketing and its detailed data policy. The homepage claims end-to-end chat encryption and says data is never shared or sold. The Privacy Notice describes processing prompts and outputs, using de-identified or anonymized interactions to improve and train models, and possible human review of those datasets.
The notice further says third-party model providers or hosting services may receive message content. The terms separately describe access to flagged conversations for moderation. Those disclosures are why we would not repeat the homepage's privacy language as a technical guarantee that no one except you can access the conversation.
Deletion does not imply immediate removal of every record
The Privacy Notice allows retention after an account closes for stated purposes. A chat-history control and the provider's full data-retention obligations are different things. Avoid putting your real address, employer, financial information or someone else's private details into a roleplay prompt.
We have not audited Candy's encryption implementation or exercised its data-erasure process. The recommendation is proportionate: treat this as an online entertainment account whose data the service processes, not a secure messenger or private journal.
Candy AI versus OurDream: compare the same usage
OurDream AI is the most useful alternative to compare here because it also documents text, voice and generated media. The comparison below uses current official pricing documents, not the older summaries in either site's catalogue.
| Buying question | Candy AI | OurDream AI |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly commitment | $13.99 on the observed public offer | $19.99 on the standard plan |
| Annual payment | $47.88 upfront on the observed promotion | $119.88 upfront |
| Included allowance | 100 tokens monthly | 1,000 Dreamcoins monthly; annual starts with 2,000 including a bonus |
| Text billing | Unlimited text advertised for Premium | Standard subscriber chat costs no coins; Genius variants cost coins |
| Media-cost visibility | Complete per-action tariff not verified in this research | Public guide lists individual image, voice and video costs |
| Paid output quality | Not tested for this review | Not tested for this comparison |

Candy has the lower observed subscription price. OurDream provides more public detail for estimating media spend. Neither fact establishes which produces better images or more satisfying roleplay, and 100 tokens cannot be compared numerically with 1,000 Dreamcoins without their purchasing power.
Choose Candy if its character setup and entry price fit your preferences, then verify the costs of your preferred tools. Consider OurDream if you want to price a specific mix of voice calls and media against a published tariff. Our existing OurDream review covers its broader roleplay offering; use the newer official figures above when comparing costs.
Who should choose Candy AI?
Candy is a reasonable candidate for adults who want one place to configure a character, chat, and occasionally request media. Its documented feature set is broader than a text-only bot, and its current monthly plan gives you a smaller initial commitment than the annual purchase.
It is a weaker fit if you want unlimited image and video generation for one fee, a large free allowance, or independently demonstrated chat privacy. A creator needing repeatable visual identity should test that requirement before purchasing a large token package.
Our recommendation is conditional: inspect the free preview, check the token prices for the actions you actually want, and use the monthly option first if you decide to subscribe. We leave the performance score open until there is genuine paid-use evidence. That is more useful than converting a polished promotional page into a confident nine out of ten.

Sources and review scope
This review draws on Candy's public feature page, character creator entry screen, subscription offer, Terms of Service and Privacy Notice. The linked help center was inaccessible during the check, so per-action token prices remain unverified.
Promotional testimonials shown on Candy's own subscription page are not an independently sampled reputation study. We have not used them to claim that most customers are satisfied. This version also makes no claims about timed image generation, long-session recall, paid-account reliability or comparative output quality.

How much does Candy AI cost in September 2026?
The public USD offer checked September 10 lists $13.99 monthly, $26.97 for three months, or $47.88 yearly. The annual $3.99/month figure is an equivalent, not a monthly payment. Local taxes and checkout offers may differ.
How many free messages does Candy AI allow?
Its current Terms of Service say free users may generally send a maximum of five messages. This is a limited introduction, not enough to establish long-session memory or paid-feature quality.
Does Candy Premium include unlimited images?
No unlimited image allowance was verified. The public offer lists unlimited text messages and 100 tokens per month; extended features can consume tokens. Check the charge shown for each action before confirming it.
Does Candy AI have video generation?
Yes, video generation is currently listed among Premium benefits. We verified the advertised feature, but did not generate clips or measure their quality or token cost on a paid account.
What happens to unused Candy tokens after cancellation?
The subscription stays active until the end of the paid billing period. Section 10.2 of the terms says remaining tokens then expire and cannot carry over to a later resubscription.
Are Candy conversations end-to-end private?
We have not independently verified that claim. The Privacy Notice describes processing chat content, de-identified or anonymized training uses, possible human review and third-party model providers. Do not assume the provider can never access your messages.
Is Candy AI better than OurDream?
Candy has the lower subscription price in the public offers we checked. OurDream publishes a more detailed media-cost guide. We have not performed a paid head-to-head test, so we cannot name a winner for image quality, voice or long-session memory.
